Today's game f*cking disgusted me. Honestly. It's early, and we have had rough April's since I was a kid. The captain was out. Hughes continues to be inconsistant in day games. First game of a 21 game road series. Still inexcuseable. There's a lot of competition in the AL right now, and we can't be losing easy games like this to garbage teams, whether they've had a good spring or not. We need to take advantage of the early ones, so we're not playing catchup in August. Wasn't this the point of the manager change?

the ability to make something happen plays a part in many games, look at KC over the yanks today. im not sure what basis you have for your opinion, but there are many factors besides just SB numbers that have an effect on a baseball game.

Mattingly was a wonderful player and one of the few I would like to meet. Girardi was the right call as mananger for a variety of reasons, not the least of which Mats already had to quit his job with the Dodgers because of his alcoholic wife and the fact he puts his children above a game.

At first George said he wanted to keep Torre in the NY Post. The day Torre got up in the meeting and left, his son's were saying they wanted to change directions with the club, and that's why they offered him a pay cut. Then, George told the Daily News when Torre left, that Mattingly was the leading candidate for the job. Two days later, his son's then said they wanted Girardi. I'm starting to think his health isn't what it used to be, and he's backing down a little. Seems like the son's are getting what they want now.
