#4no chance at all. sbr has said many times they will not police the points lending industry. lend at your own risk. he stiffed people back in the day then just semi-recently made it right. that shoulda gave him bad credit. too bad dunders not here to post his terrible credit report.
he will win first place, cash it all out in freeplays and one pizza, then bet it all on the hawks and lose.Comment -

#7i remember that thread, it was surreal. not because he chose to stiff all his lenders, but the fact that he recieved three large loans in such a short period of time.
lot of reputable people seemingly begging for loans they never get, while a documented (well over half a year at that point) and boastful stiff gets points like candy.
if you're going to lend, you at least gotta take a few mins to research the person you are lending to (post history, point history, really simple stuff).
sbr has already addressed this issue and said they would not intervene on the behalf of those who are stiffed.Comment -

#12In the beginning I was in favor of SBR policing the points lending business. But I have changed my mind now and side with SBR in that this is a high risk business and lend at your own risk. If someone is a stiff then let the other members no about it and eventually if he is a real man when he wins some points he can pay back his debts. If not then he is a scumbag.
One thing I would like to see is a pop-up message (similar to the message you get in Private Zone) that SBR is not liable for point losses due to stiffing and lenders and loan recipients are contacting business at their own risk.
SBR could have shut off the points lending business if they wanted but they let it stay and passed all the risk to the posters.Comment -

#14SBR will not do a thing. I have to say I have no sympathy whatsoever for posters who loaned this guy points though. He was a stiff before and gloated forever about it before winning big in the casino and paying back. It was not bright to loan to this kid.Comment -

#25As Glitch and Pavy said, the SBR position is lender beware. It is good to have threads like this every once in a while to help remind us of who the biggest stiffs are, just need to be careful going forward with this poster.Comment -

#26I have been told that I can't have my Private Messages back until I am debt free. So isn't this policing the points lending industry?
I also was told by a moderator, that my pts borrowing got out of hand. So much for not SBR overseeing or controlling the points industry.
yeah i think the rate at which you were doing it was possibly deemed detrimental and cancerous to the sbr community- like if they didnt do somethiing they were letting you continually mislead and leach upon their members and supporters. that is a little bit different....but still- weird....didnt know that.Comment -

There's no need for SBR to waste manpower policing posters lending out and "borrowing" points. We all need to act like adults.Comment -

#35Whatsgood5 sounds like a guy that would rob an old lady...Those lenders got burned, and thats what happens when you dont include risk management into your equation. They over extended the credit line and lost so much that it became an issue. Whatsgood5's loan should have been a small percentage of the lenders loanable points.Comment
