I once ran a 16:00 5K and came through the first mile @ 4:50
Right now I would have a hard time breaking 7:00

At 5'10 230 pounds, I could probably run a mile in the sub 8 minute range if I was motivated

Knee injuries suck. They cut me up good in surgery.

When I do cardio it usually takes me about 10 minutes when i'm running. I might be able to trim it to 8 but anything under that is pushing it.

High School X-country?
I sucked so bad. I was happy if I could get in the 17 -18 minute range. Some of those courses were so hilly, I couldn't break 20 minutes.
But after running dozens of 5k's, one mile seems like a sprint.
How about bicycling? I just started getting into it last year and even entered a race, 42 miles in just over 2 hours. My best speed on a similar solo ride was 47 miles in about 2 1/2 hours.
