    Are freeplays worth it
Hey guys I was thinking of purchasing the BetPhoenix freeplay, but got kind of weary when I saw the 8x rollover and the betting restrictions put on it. What would you guys say is the success rate of people clearing these freeplays and what would you say the best way is to go about them.

Also do you have had to already have made a deposit on the site to have one.

You wont need to have made a deposit to purchase the freeplay.

As far as the best way to use the freeplay, search the Think Tank there are thread after thread of how to use it.

The 8X rollover is a bit high but not too bad based on the type of Rollovers you would be as a deposit bonus in most places.

As far as the odd of clearing the rollover and cashing out... well the odds are never very good thats why you can get them cheap.

True. You can do the 3 team parlay and guarantee yourself 75% of the FP.

I disagree. The best value is the $250 freeplay from BetPhoenix. You cannot use the free play at Phoenix on parlays, and you can only use moneylines up to +200. However, purchasing a $250 freeplay at BetJamaica for 1550 points, and then using the 3-team parlay method to cash in for 75% of the freeplay would have you ending up with $187.50. Which comes to 12 cents per point. On the other hand, with the $250 freeplay from Phoenix, you can easily realize a return of 15 cents per point. By finding a +200 underdog to bet on. Find another site with the opposing team at -200 or -205 or so. Bet $250 freeplay at +200 = $500. At other site, bet $365 at -200 to win $166. You have to be patient, but with a full slate of college bball games, it will be easy to find a game that fits the bill. And, 14 or 15 cents per point is better that 12 cents per point.

not a fair comparison unless you make a reasonable allowance for the chance of the dog winning and getting no value at all from your freeplay

if you lose your freeplay on a dog and successfully back the fav elsewhere surely there is nothing needing to be rolled over?

Here is my problem with this method. If the favorite wins they you made a safe bet and won your $166. Not bad. If the dog wins you get $500 minus the $335 that BD said is the real number which gives you $165. But I disagree that its a guaranteed profit of $165. Its only guaranteed money if the favorite wins.

If the dog wins you have $500 that you now have to turn over 8 times. Which means you need to make $4000 in bets. If you do ok you will come out with something but if you have a bad run you can lose it all. So you lose the free play and the $335 of your cash from your other account.

If your any good why not just play the free play and not risk anymore money. Do well you could take out a few hundred to thousands.

So there is still risk in taking both sides if the dog does end up winning.

I just talked with BetPhoenix support. Freeplays can be used on up to 3 team parlays.

You can bet the free play at Bet Phoenix on parlays, unless they recently changed their rules.

BP does allow 3 team parlays. i did the $250 freeplay to $187.50 cash about 3 weeks ago

So there is still risk in taking both sides if the dog does end up winning.

as james points out above - Do not use freeplay to scalp vs. real $
do use it on parlays to convert it to cash, then use straight bets to accomplish roll over. i do it all the time. and the books do not appreciate it.
