I love theoretical arguments about a matchup which isn't going to happen ... what do/did the Packers and the Patriots have in common? Being media darlings and ultimately believing their own PR.

The Pack had their chance to show what they were made of a few weeks ago, and barely beat an apathetic Bears team.

The Pack will be heading back oooop North to make their plans to watch the Pro Bowl and Bears fans will be hunting for rooms in the Lone Star State, most likely to play the Steelers but after how the Jets stifled wonder Tom nothing would surprise me on the AFC side of things

Reason AFC has been favored so often in the past is because I don't remember the last time an NFC team was favored in the futures at this late stage. Probably not since Showtime Rams.

FUTURES MARKETS have the PACKERS as the favorites to win the SB currently............slightly ahead of Pittsburgh.

Both PITT and GB are roughly and basically the same odds on the ML to win this weekend.



The only way PITT will be favored is if they dominate the JETS and the PACKERS win a nailbiter over the BEARS.

Fish, the futures markets are actually calling for GB to be more than a slight favorite to Pitt. My numbers show the no-vig line around -135. So looks like a -2.5-120 or -3+100 type line. I think it's crazy, but that's what it says. GB so overrated right now. Might get Bears +4 soon. That's flippin' nuts.

Forget about seeding, Packers have the highest power rating of all the remaining teams. For example, Sagarin has Packers -2 over Pitt on a neutral field.

are the numbers, we are not makin this up. it is the facts, the futures markets are just reflections of the power ratings as well. you are right about the pack being over rated, of course, and this is coming from one who has expounded there worth for many weeks. too late to jump on that bandwagon, they will make you pay a heavy price now. green bay is -3 vs. pitt, it may change depending on this weekends games.
