Anyone here think this outdoor hockey game on new year's day is stupid?

I think its favorited towards canadians since thats where majority of views come from. Canadians grow up playing outdoor hockey and relate to it.

and ya, taking the under here was a great call. it actually opened at 6 for some reason on Pinny; very strange considering most games are 5.5, some 5. And rain was reasonably predicted. The ice was so shit 10 minutes in and only got worse.

Not strange. Caps/Pens typically open at 6, because they're high scoring. They didn't adjust for the location nearly enough.

Caps/Pens is not your typical hockey matchup, so it doesn't have a typical total. Are you going to say Caps/Tampa Bay should also open at 5.5?

They have a lot of workers build and fix this into Heinz field just for this one event and its just a regular season game and its not even a big thing. I mean tax dollars are being used to fund events like this. Who thinks this is a waste of tax dollars?

These game's I've noticed tend to stay over the total so I made a small play on the under. It's been an exciting game even though low scoring. The ice is full of puddles and is a mess but regardless a great hockey game. Nice winter classic.
