The game has been an overwhelming success for the NHL, it isn't going anywhere. American hockey fans seem to get on board for it, and that's what the league is aiming for.

dynamite, you're constantly complaining about how you want more games on broadcast TV, because you apparently don't have cable.

Now there's a great game each year on broadcast TV and you whine about that, too.

You should be happy that not only is there a Winter Classic, but it's on NBC instead of Versus or something.

These game's I've noticed tend to stay over the total so I made a small play on the under. It's been an exciting game even though low scoring. The ice is full of puddles and is a mess but regardless a great hockey game. Nice winter classic.

Sounds like one of those experiences you will always remember. I also noticed they stay under most years. I don't know much about the Pens or Caps other then the two well known players Ovechkin and Crosby. Took a small chance on the under and is looking good,

I like the idea of outdoor hockey. I wish there was a better place to play it than a baseball or football stadium though. Retractable roof on a hockey/basketball arena would be awesome. That way the live fans would get a better show.

and ya, taking the under here was a great call. it actually opened at 6 for some reason on Pinny; very strange considering most games are 5.5, some 5. And rain was reasonably predicted. The ice was so shit 10 minutes in and only got worse.
