But my pick is North Carolina. For starters Tenn is not very good. The Tenn fresh QB has improved but he is still a fish. NC is well balanced and excited about this bowl appearance. They find a way to win.

It's definitely a home game for Tennessee because they were told in advance they were going to be in the Music City Bowl. Tennessee fans were posting they were buying up the tickets before UNC even knew what bowl they'd be in. I checked the Carolina web site on monday after they were selected on Sunday and the few seats available to regular fans were lousy.

I don't mean to sound antagonistic but just as a matter of information, North Carolina's really not without a running game left. Tonight's starter, Shaun Draughn, started over White all last year. He's certainly as good as White or Elzy and there's a couple of younger RB's who've proven they can rest him.

I think the key to Carolina's success running the ball is the passing game. To open up the running game they'll have to force Tennessee to commit more defense to stop the pass. Tennessee's biggest challenge there is stopping Dwight Jones. He's a 6'4" gazelle that can catch the ball over the defender and he's hard to catch when he catches the ball. Yates is a deadly passer if given time.

Linebacker Bruce Carter, one of the potential NFL first rounders, will be out. He was UNC's best pass rusher. That'll give UT's young quarterback more time to find a receiver. Carolina gives up a lot of long passes if the play has time to develop.

Carolina probably has more experienced talent overall but it's a effectively a home game for Tennessee and UNC has yet to prove they can win a bowl under Butch Davis. I think this game comes down to who makes the most critical mistakes and that should be the younger Tennessee.

There is no way NC is winning this game. TN new QB may be new but he brought this team from 2-6 to 6-6. Also NC is missing some key players today. This game is being held in the heart of Tennessee (Nashville) Music City USA, the stadium will be a sea of ORANGE ! So NC stands no chance !
