Dude I'm not mad - this is an Internet forum and you're a stranger, remember? And I didn't incriminate myself about anything. I've always been open about what I studied when asked and as part of the MBA program, we had to have either worked in the financial services field prior to joining the program or worked in it concurrently whilst studying in order to be accepted. Since I started it right after I finished my degree, I had to work in the industry for part of the time until I finished. Have thankfully never had to work in it again.

I have a friend of mine that I grew up with that has a trust and he gets 1.3 million a year for the next 30 years. That doesn't include his property he owns etc etc. He spends way more than 54k a year on food....

It's not about the dollar amount. I know for a fact I spent quite a bit more than that one year just on meals and drinks on my corporate card. I know this because I had some explaining to do.

It's the fact that he purports to be a financial guru yet stated he only paid cash for each of these expenditures. $54k worth. Which would go against one of the very basic principles you learn in business school when it comes to personal finance, whether it be managing your own or a client's. It's right up there with owing taxes at the end of the year or even worse, getting a refund. You should have a net return of zero so that the Government hasn't been holding on to your money and collecting interest on it while you could have had that cash working more effectively for you nor should you be ignoring every minute tax law and loophole that reduces the amount of tax you owe while ensuring you are effectively utilising methods to maximise your wealth creation. Again, I'm sure taylor learned all of this during his first or second year of school.
