There wasn't no passing of the torch. 2010 kobe is still the best player in the league and D Rose isn't a pimple on Kobe's ass. Don't disrespect Kobe like that.

Kobe will win a ring with Lebron at LA then retire.

I remember the afro kobe who would do 360 dunks on you

Than the number 8 kobe who would drop buckets on you

To the number 24 kobe who is a jump shooter / scorer

Kobe is king. Plain and simple. Probably the closest thing to MJ we will ever see. Living on the east coast really don't get to see a lot of Lakers games other than nationally televised games. To this day I still get excited for those sunday afternnon laker games I can see or the Laker playoff games. Will be very weird when he is gone. Its hard to actually picture him losing a step but it has probably already begun because of the injuries and age.

It's just as hard to get tickets out here in LA Lakers games in Staples Center sell out consistantly. I can get my hands on tickets now and then but they are expensive so I usually go upper level. Still I feel like I'm witnessing a true master of his craft watching Kobe on the court. His shooting finger has been a problem for a few years now. He doesn't like to talk about it but the doctors said that he has irreplicable damage and it has affected his performance. Funny how he still nails it night after night.

I can remember the first time MJ came out of retirement for that saturday afternoon game against the pacers like it was yesterday. Very few sporting events that can have me glued to my TV where I can't look away. NFL playoff games and kobe games and MJ games. Pissed I never got to see him play in person. Saw MJ play a whole bunch of times in person. Those are games you just don't forget.
