I've never understood how egotistical someone has to be to even consider themselves a sharp. And that's not directed to anyone in particular.

But maybe people should wait until they're limited at books and referred to by others as sharp before thinking they've got the whole betting thing figured out.

Fair enough. But I see the same people continually getting offended by this stuff and when I look back at their posts and see they've only been betting a couple of years, if that, and can still supposedly drop down chunks of cash at multiple books with no problem - when everyone knows that a 'true' sharp finds it difficult to make decent sized wagers without some creative work on their part because they've been limited at almost every book available - it makes me wonder what on Earth these people are smoking to think they're anywhere close to what a long-term bettor would refer to as a 'sharp'.

Regardless, we're all here to just make cash so hopefully the self-labeling can stop and the winning can continue.
