they don't need to change the chips. if they suspect chips don't belong to you they can hold up transaction. they can also ask for your id and if you refuse to provide it, they don't have to cash chips and will have security escort you out. most of the stolen chips will go uncashed and insurance will cover the loss. mgm also has faxed all vegas casinos that they won't honor any bellagio chips redeemed at other properties via the chip exchange runners effective immediately.

Wow what a idiotic response, every business is out to make money. How is a casino different from any other business. The casino is not stealing money. I believe most have a 21 year age limit and therefore people should be responsible to know what their getting into.
