i like american pickers a little better. they sold these pics the other day for 10 k that they paid 400 bucks for. they felt bad and went back and gave the guy 5000 dollars

I noticed this too. I was surprised people walk into a pawn shop with Ben Franklin and G. Washington gear.

I saw another pawn shop show set in Detroit where people walk in with speakers and gold chains. It sucked.

why dont they have common sense to first offer it on ebay or check out an auction after they find out from the show's "expert" instead of getting 25% of value of item.

i dont have shit everywhere (or old shit for that matter), but if american pickers were "freestyling" and came to my home..i'd say no to all their offers and then look up the prices to see how much they are worth so i can keep them separate.

Sorry if I ruin Pawn Stars for some of yall, but Pawn Stars is 100% staged. I visited the store last year while in Vegas, and they had a filming crew there selecting people from an audience, providing them items and giving them stories to use.

I still watch the show, but not with nearly as much interest.

everything you say is correct except for the "providing them with items an giving them stories to use" , I sat there for hours hoping to get on and never saw anyone receiving items , guy behind me made it on with an old gun , shop is mostly full of t-shirts and souveneres...small shop , but cool items as well...

I like the show as well, but it, like most reality shows, are scripted. Chumlee is Pawn Star's version of that useless tool Mikey on OCC, but provides some value to the company.
