#37Originally posted by d2betsEllis did that against fukkin Utah State. That's a high school team compared to the size and speed the Illinois defense will present.
That high school team lost to the Juggernaut Oklahoma Sooners by 7 points in Norman.

#39I was referring to Utah State's defense. They fuckin suck. So Oklahoma opened their season with a clunker. Big whoop. Yer gettin' off topic. My point is the loss of Robbie Rouse is huge.Originally posted by frostno98

Oh and I'm taking Boise/Utah St O60.5 tomorrow huge. No fukkin way Utah State will ever stop Boise. They can score some themselves, but Boise will score all they want. They can hit the over themselves if they feel like it, but I'll say 52-17.Comment -

#43The great Demarco Murray averaged 6.2 ypc and Ellis averaged 5.7 ypc against that porous D that was missing a key starter who played against Fresno State but not against Oklahoma.Originally posted by d2betsI was referring to Utah State's defense. The point is he is very capable of carrying the ball and the loss is slighter than you think. If they can't rush it's because the team can't move the line not that little Rouse is out.Comment -

#45Illinois will choke in this spot, they always do. The NW would have been a loss w/ Persa but they still allowed NW with an inexperienced QB in the game based on some poor plays in the first half. Thar same NW got routed in WI.
As a big ten supporter.... I can tell u the following .... always fade the big ten in football when a team plays a top non conference opponent early in the year (see psu/ala, osu/usc) and its usually smart to fade a big ten team that heads west to play an away game.
Illinois loses the game here, but I took the 6 points to be safe. Also.... appears there is some RLM.Comment -

#47What "always" "spot" are you talking about? I think last year was the first year Illinois played the last game as a non-conf game. I don't think Illinois has even played a west coast game since the '07 Rose Bowl.Originally posted by brettleyIllinois will choke in this spot, they always do. #49West coast and non conference was big ten as a whole. Im a illini fan whose seen us choke on the road in spots like these. For example cincy last year... we covered the 18 but that was bc of a late score. Also western michigan in 2008 which would have given us a sixth win to qualify for bowl. We then lost to osu and nw to miss a bowl game.Originally posted by d2betsWhat "always" "spot" are you talking about? Good luck with ur pick, but these seems like a classic illini let down spot.Comment -

#50LOL Thats funny. People said the exact same thing about replacing Mathews and now look. Ive written on here so many times that it doesnt matter who is running the ball for Fresno they will rush for yards. AJ Ellis has played good when he has been on the field. If you think Illinois will blow Fresno out at home lets make a point wager on it.Originally posted by d2betsRouse is the only Fresno RB to do anything this year. That's gotta hurt them if he can't go. Hard to imagine Fresno sustaining drives without a running game. And they better score, because Illinois will. Illinois scored a lot last year and their offense and running game is vastly better this season, especially recently. How are they going to stop Leshore? Their defense is not that big. Illinois is gonna manhandle them. The more I look at this the more I gotta like Illinois. I know Fresno can be good at home and it's senior night and all, but they seem to be outmanned here on matchups. They would have a chance with a strong running game, but without Rouse? This could get ugly, I think.Comment -

#59I dont understand what you are saying? Why does it matter that they are both Sophmores? I know that Rouse is the better back, but there is not a much of a drop off between the 2. Look back every single year and fresno st has had a 1000 rusher for years and when they didnt they have 2 rb both close the 1000 yd markOriginally posted by d2betsThese kids are both sophs.
