The great Demarco Murray averaged 6.2 ypc and Ellis averaged 5.7 ypc against that porous D that was missing a key starter who played against Fresno State but not against Oklahoma.

The point is he is very capable of carrying the ball and the loss is slighter than you think. If they can't rush it's because the team can't move the line not that little Rouse is out.

As a big ten supporter.... I can tell u the following .... always fade the big ten in football when a team plays a top non conference opponent early in the year (see psu/ala, osu/usc) and its usually smart to fade a big ten team that heads west to play an away game.

What "always" "spot" are you talking about? I think last year was the first year Illinois played the last game as a non-conf game. I don't think Illinois has even played a west coast game since the '07 Rose Bowl.

West coast and non conference was big ten as a whole. Im a illini fan whose seen us choke on the road in spots like these. For example cincy last year... we covered the 18 but that was bc of a late score. Also western michigan in 2008 which would have given us a sixth win to qualify for bowl. We then lost to osu and nw to miss a bowl game.

Good luck with ur pick, but these seems like a classic illini let down spot.

Rouse is the only Fresno RB to do anything this year. That's gotta hurt them if he can't go. Hard to imagine Fresno sustaining drives without a running game. And they better score, because Illinois will. Illinois scored a lot last year and their offense and running game is vastly better this season, especially recently. How are they going to stop Leshore? Their defense is not that big. Illinois is gonna manhandle them. The more I look at this the more I gotta like Illinois. I know Fresno can be good at home and it's senior night and all, but they seem to be outmanned here on matchups. They would have a chance with a strong running game, but without Rouse? This could get ugly, I think.
