Boys, i think we are seeing the end of xmas before our very eyes. i never thought this would happen, but i think it has. Every year, xmas tv commercials begin always on Nov 2nd, sometimes, nov 3rd.. it is now about to be Nov 16th and i have yet to see one xmas tv ad.. i haven't heard any jingles yet. no songs on radio yet.. i went today to Italian district where xmas lights are huge and up early in OCT.. and i saw NOTHING.. not one..

boys, it's sad cause when i was growing up as a kid,xmas was huge, and i loved it. now i think it's over.. we are just over 5 weeks away from xmas and i can't believe i have not seen 1 xmas tv commercial nor have i heard 1 song yet anywhere.

I think the recession has killed us and people can't afford xmas gifts anymore.. boys, is this the end of an era?? is xmas really over?? say it ain't so.

nina, you know what i hate.. i hate the new xmas music. i hate the rock stuff.. it's not christmas to me. you know though what i really really am into?? i love bing crosby, dean martin, nat king cole, Perry Como, etc.. the old xmas music was great. i love that great music. so much history behind it.. i don't like anything after 1990.. and i love the old classics like..

Nicky, I agree. It just isn't Christmas without hearing Bing Crosby sing "I'll Be Home for Christmas" or some Carpenters. I really love Christmas time. So does Mr. Nina cause the whole season puts Nina in a very romantical mood and he gets very lucky during this time.

Ads starting in nov is way too early in my opinion. This way by Christmas comes ppl grow tired of it and become frustrated

sad to hear that but here in the Philippines all seems well but I do noticed a difference compared last year on how people were reacting on the approaching holiday. don't know the cause of this changes but hope it won't end the Christmas! Christmas is a happy holiday! It should be and are always. And btw, didn't put up the . maybe this is a sign also.

In case you hadn't noticed my avatar, I live in Iowa and I'm sick of Christmas already and it's not even Dec. yet. Plenty of commercials being shown in this part of the country.

People had their houses decorated by Nov. 1st. Wait til the day after Thanksgiving at least.
