Sit back relax and watch the cup final @ 10 a.m while capping your afternoon basketball bets. Stick a unit on Spurs + .5 to make it interesting.

Some people will rather lose their money on a sport they love than winning riches on a sport they hate. This is the most ignorant forum I have never been a part of. And we are not talking about low IQ's or slow people. Pure ignorance!

In contrary, football has the highest number of homosexuals due to pure statistics. The probability of turning into a homosexual is higher in football due to the shear volume of players taking a shower naked per sport after the game. Having 60 guys taking a shower together creates more homosexuals than having 11 guys taking a shower together.
Your arguements are as lame as your sport picks. Be quiet and will be ignored. Be vocal and you will be ridiculed.

The above smiley's indicate me attempting to watch the activity known as soccer. Occassionally I might hear an announcer go nuts over something. Usually he's going nuts over something that almost happened.
"Annnnnnnnnnd ohhhhhh myyyyyyyyyyyy gooooooodddd did you see that pass by Zidane to joenincompoop. He alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll lllllllmost kept the ball in play. Whaaaaaaat a paaaaaaasssssss. Man, if nincompoop could have got to the ball in time he would have had a 2% chance at kicking the ball behind the goalie into the net for a would be 1 to nil lead. Zidane is immortal. He literally almost just lead a pass to some schmuck on the field. What a play!!!!!!"
I tried getting in to it but it is so dam boring, to each is own

If you consider Beckham the icon of the game now is like calling Warren Sapp the best DT in football when he was playing for the Raiders. Have you ever heard of guys named Ronaldo, Rooney or Tevez? Ignorant!

NFL players don't play by those rules.
Soccer players aren't big enough or fast enough to play in the NFL. WR's and CBs are much faster then any soccer player.

you must not know too many soccer players...some of them can FLY!!! and a lot of them are bigger than you think...im sure there are nfl players that would beat a lot of soccer players in short distance sprints but there are soccer players who could keep up...not all of the wr's and db's run 4.3 40's...there are many that are in the 4.4-4.5ish range

Ask Reggie Bush if it's easy. He tried to play with Beckham.
Wes Welker was a soccer player and he attributes his ability to be elusive and cut direction in his routes to his soccer skills. He is a fast guy.

Soccer players do not wear pads or helmets. Football players are weak. Hockey players are tough. Rugby players are tough. Aussie football players are tough. Football players aren't.

If they didnt wear pads and helmets people would be getting killed. Have you ever played football dude? I highly doubt it. Please dont try saying soccer is more of a tough mans game over football. That is an absolute joke

But many run out of bounds to avoid a hit rather then try to get a extra few yards trying to avoid it.

Not taking sides here, but you all may find this older article interesting:
Anything published by ESPN regarding soccer is biased because they compare it to US soccer league which is a joke. It's like comparing NFL Europe to Champions League.

getting blind sided by a linebacker equates to roughly a 35 mph car wreck...people can easily die in a 35+ mph car wreck...soccer isnt a pussy sport but there is not as much physical contact as there is in the nfl...

I'll prove it for you. The fastest human without pads and helmet and wearing track shoes can run 20 mph. This arguement is about (35/20) X 2000/260 = 13.5 times exaggerated. It will take 13.5 linebackers running at world speed record to produce the same force as a 2000 lb car going 35 mph.

True. Find me a 260 lb LB fully geared that runs 23 mph for 100 m and I will be his agent.

Can you please give Ethiopia the memo that there is a thing called money and I don't appreciate them paying me in giraffe sh!t for the hockey equipment they are intending to use to throw in their tribal fires?
All you need for soccer is a ball and boredom to play. Heck you don't even need goals because god forbid someone will score in the game. Does anyone in Ethiopia even know what ice is?
Soccer's a cheap activity that is for the socially retarded. Stand on a field. Follow the ball. 1 rule, don't use your hands unless you have this flaming multi-colored vest on.
It's #1 in the world. So what? The #1 idea in the world prior to 1492 was the world was flat. That turned out to be true right? Just because it's popular doesn't mean its right. Take a look at some of the consensus bets on covers.com. I've seen picks where 75% of the people were wrong on predicting the outcome of a game, but because they predicted it and they're in the majority, that should change the outcome of the result? I don't think so.

If an nfl football team played a rugby team at their game and then at a game of nfl football. Nfl teams would win both , meaning they are better athletes, tougher, etc.

You do know that a rugby game is 50% kicking right? Any player is a punter or kicker at any given time. So which football players will you start in a rugby game? Will you go with all WR's for speed, LB's for toughness, QB's for brains? Please enlighten me with your starting line-up for a rugby game comprised with current NFL pros.
