As far as procedurals go, Criminal Minds is head and shoulders above everything other network crime show out there.

Breaking Bad.

Incredible writing. The season opener for season 2 (with the old guy in the wheelchair hitting the bell), and the episode in season 1 with the bath crashing through the ceiling were better than almost all motion pictures. Walt's decision not to save the girl as she dies in her vomit, his near confession to Jesse in the lab. The whole developing relationship with Gus. Insane writing. Genius.

wow, I was just going to nominate these exact two shows. Deadwood was absolutely great, I was so pissed when they canceled this show. They leave absolute shit on and cancel the great shows. Another decent show was brotherhood, they canceled that too.

Mad men is very good, especially if you remember those years.

Stevie is one of the best characters I've seen....I think I like him more than Kenny.

I forgot about John from Cincinnati, didn't they cancel that midseason? I actually liked that show for some reason.

And I really like Terriers on F/X. Which I've said before has one of the best lineups during the week. Sons of Anarchy(tues) Terriers(wed) It's always sunny(thurs) And then Justified, which isn't on at the same time. And alot of folks like Rescue Me, but I didn't watch it from the beginning, so I'll probably just catch up sometime.
