BestLineSports was aquired by BetOnline back in April, 2007 I believe. So really all that new of news per say sir.

Here is the newswire on this acquisition below:

BestLine Sports (SBR rating B+) officially announces acquisition of BetOnline (SBR rating B). BetOnline players should not experience any migration down time as the site is already moved to the BestLine server in Panama. BLS plans to utilize the highly brandable URL in new marketing campaigns. BetOnline was formerly located in Oficentro in San Jose, Costa Rica.
I remember one of our moderators was skeptical about BOL's endurance. I'm not sure if he still he feels the same way at this time or not, but never the less. You have to admire Justin7 for sharing his concerns/thoughts about them at the time.

well on sbr.com they're both still rated A- and it doesn't say they were aquired or merged. why does the article say that bestline aquired betonline when its the other way around?

I think the Bestline folks acquired Bet Online and decided moving forward to use only the Bet Online name after merging the two operations.

I used to use Betonline a long time ago. After going through many books throughout the past few years, I'm not back to using Betonline currently actually. Despite the high cost of getting your money out of there, it's a really great book with good c/s.

Right. Panama-based BLS acquired BetOnline which was a small CR book with a big domain name. BLS still allowed people to log in for a few months and we left the url on the rating guide for people to find their way. I think the BLS page redirects now anyway so it's about time we changed it.
