Even if what you say is 100% true. You knew your brother was a heroin addict, yet you have all your info stored on your computer, which you have already said he had access too. To me, that is very irresponsible, as you know something with such a serious drug addiction is likely to steal your credit card info.

Did it never cross your mind that its never a wise idea to store this info on your computer, especially if you have a brother with such a major problem who has access to this computer ?

I do believe that most books have a rule that says you are responsible for your account even if its not you. Sorry, you were the one who was irresponsible so ultimatley you are still at fault.

As to whether they can get you through collections, I doubt it, but I dont know for sure. With this big of a debt, they might well try. My guess would be that they will try but not have much success. They will probably harrass you with calls and then in time, give up. I dont think they can legally enforce anything, but who knows.

Again, you shouldnt get so angry with the comments, as you should have anticipated this. Maybe I am jaded, but I dont believe 1 gram of your story. The forums have seen posters lose shit loads and claim this exact story, except in patrick mcirish' case it was his nephew who lost the $35,000 or whatever it was.

I am just saying, you post this story you should anticipate some people will question it.

Well, I appreciate your honesty, but no he's so strung out I didn't think he's even know how to use a computer, but unfortunately my story is true I owe just under 4,000 to BetEd.com, and just under 3,000 to betUS.com, I really didn't know this was a common "excuse" for people that have lost money, cuz unfortunately it's my real life.
