Bill replied and mentioned an entirely different reason than the automated message. That's understandable, seeing as how we provided the poll where there was more interest in retaining the animated avatars than nuking them.

Bill, if folks found that distracting they could simply elect to turn the avatars off then. This option, as you know, is in USER CP. Why even have that option in the first place then? Management really wimped out this time, Bill? Disappointing.

What happens is management gets on mods backs that they are not producing so something like this happens, mods have to justify their jobs.

I believe it was poster Data the other day who suggested we start some sticky threads warning newbies to the forum and/or the world of gambling of pitfalls and scammers. This would seem as good a place to start as any since I'm the one who usually winds up having to clean up the mess after JJ's misinformation doodoo is spread about.

First, this directive about the avatars came from the top, period. No mods had a thing to do with it, and it certainly wasn't handed down because of some perception the mods weren't or aren't doing their jobs.

Couple of other things to keep in mind here...

1) JJGold, Mario Dolbin, Hank Webber, et al do not represent SBR in any way, shape or form.

2) JJ is full of more sh¡t than a Christmas turkey.
