One man teams get exposed eventually (i.e. Michigan). If you've watched Auburn this year...they have been lucky a lot of times and Newton is an amazing athlete who has found ways to make big plays...but once he is contained...they are in trouble. Last drive to beat Kentucky...the questionable points against Arkansas not to mention being without Mallet....LSU made some gaffes this past weekend...etc. Auburn's defense can't keep giving up so much and expect him to pull one out every week.

Its not a man one team. They have solid backs in their arsenal and their offensive line is their true weapon and it was incredible this weekend. Its pretty rare to see LSU get dominated up front like they did this weekend. Mississippi sucks, and Alabama has lost key players on D. If they go undefeated, it wont shock me one bit. SC should have beaten them earlier this year.. but they didnt.

The last undefeated team in the SEC. Auburn deserves #1.

Who did Oregon beat? Only Stanford is ranked.
Excellent point. Any team that goes thru the SEC undefeated should be #1 if they haven't lost to any other teams.

The SEC is almost always the top conference in terms of anybody's ratings, year in and year out.

But I hope that Noise State goes undefeated with everyone else at 1 loss and doesn't get invited. That'll expose the crappy rating-based system and maybe embarrass the NCAA into a playoff system.

As a Bama fan, I cant wait for Malzahn to get another job. His offense is dynamic

This is exactly why Oregon is not and should not be #1. Waiting for someone to give a better reason than this...

Did you even watch Auburn play last year? McCaleb and Burns are great players and Dyer is decent so far this year. Newton is obviously the best player but overshadows all of Auburns other great players.

No need to wait for Alabama to beat Auburn.
