Ryan Howard was a victim of a very ballsy 3-2 pitch that was perfect IMO.
Back door cutter that starts off the plate and catches the corner late.
3-2 ,you must look fast ball and guy throws 97mph.
So when you see it off the plate and it is off speed and cuts you are completely fooled.He had gotten a steady diet of fastballs( all but one)the entire at bat.
Tip your hat to the guy that threw the perfect pitch ,a 3-2 backdoor cutter on the corner. He set it up nicely with the up and in heat on 2-2.
Would have loved to have seen Howard put it in play but face it, it was a great pitch in the toughest place for most lefties that are not slap dick hitters to hit.
