yes, clemens wasn't the only player who used performance enhancing drugs. Most people that used em will never be caught.

What's the Clemens timeline where he could have retired without having to fess up to being a roid user?He made 30 lifetimes of money and was hall of fame material a few years ago before the roid use came to the attention of the government.
Steinbrenner kept dangling the carrot paying Clemens 20 million for pitching in a few games the past couple years and it was too much for Clemens to resist. He went to the well once to often because he was hoggish and greedy knowing full well he was only able to pitch at a high level because of roids. He could have retired a couple years ago and never would have been subjected to roid scrutiny.
You can see that the guy is on roids by just observing his personality where he looks like he's ready to jump down everyones throats at the drop of a hat.
I could care less about the roid use. What ticks me off is that Steinbrenner was paying Clemens a million or more per start while at the same time Steinbrenner was lining up state and federal tax payer welfare to build a new stadium.

I would vote for Clemens in the HOF as long as there is an asteroid or meteorite attached next to his name.

Rose isn't ever getting in. His eligibility to even get in has expired.

Since he hasn't even been eligible to be on the ballot, I don't think Rose's eligibility has run out, TF.
Syndicated news and opinion website providing continuously updated headlines to top news and analysis sources.
After checking further I found some different info so you're probably right Willie. I guess that means had he been on the ballot his eligibility has expired.

NO. Anyone who pitched for the Yankees and Red Sox should automatically be tossed out of all consideration for the HOF!

That's why Pete deserves to be...for what all he accomplished on the field. Baseball isn't the morality police.

I don't Know about Pete, he did undermine the game by gambling on the games he was involved in. Whether you believe it or not. The gamblers make up a large portion of the viewing audience every night. If they know that too many players are making plays themselves, then they might not be inclined to watch the game and this would hurt the bottom line. Steroid boys just hurt themselves.

I've long felt that journeyman outfielder Jim Dwyer had the best quote on all of this: "The Hall of Fame is for baseball people; heaven is for good people."
If it was left up to just me, I'd acknowledge him as a Hall of Famer and hang a plaque like everyone else, but never hold an official induction ceremony for him, at least deny him the limelight that way while still recognizing him for his baseball talent.

He was a HOF before he ever came to NY in my opinon!
Yes, Id vote Clemens in. No way Im voting for Mcgwire though. I think Jim Rice and Andre Dawson are very deserving. The Hawk should be in there by now.
