i like the jets ion this spot. They sit on top of the east right now and can't afford to lose to a shit team like denver. If brady and the pats could only salvage 14 on that defense there's no way the broncos do much better. And as much as i hate the jets and sanchez their offense is really clicking, especially the run game. Jets win this by at least 6.

I love how LB has and his clan of followers think they are the only ones that can win $ and if you are against them on any bet that HAPPENS to win, you are then Joe Square Public Chalk and they had the right angle but got unlucky. Come on, the basis of this bet is one days less rest and playing at altitude? There are ways around altitude sickness, either come into town early or late. One less days rest is nothing compared to superior talent. You guys can do all the chalk talk.

Yeah, real sharp to compare past versions of the Jets and Broncos and apply those record to today.
LT and Greene will have a field day. If Jets get 150 yards rushing they cover. Period.

exactly, Denver CANNOT run the ball and they have problems stopping it, and thats what the Jets do best. Orton is thrown into bad situations when his team gets down and has to throw 40 times a game. The Jets can bring it on defense and are set up perfectly to not put Sanchez into bad situations. They know they have a green QB and rely on running the ball and tough defense. Am I dreaming here? But this is also the NFL and you don't know how these Hard Knock Jets will come out in a non pressure ho hum Sunday afternoon in Denver. So to start a thread claiming this one is already in the bank and the Jets are the right angle play of the week is crazy.

I see this being just like the Indy game where the Broncos shoot themselves in the foot and loses by 3-7 pts

Lakerboy I understand your angle on the Broncos at home. As reflected in my past posted picks I respect them @ Invesco--desveredly so. Sure Jets are the square pick here, but it's the correct pick. To me, the line is a bit fishy but I think you're looking too far into it. For every intangible advantage the Broncos have in this game, mark one for the Jets. Simply put, better team wins here in this situation. In addition, you can not simply ignore the injuries the Broncos have compiled. At the very least, those injuries should make it a "no-play" for you.
If you can't side with the Jets, do yourself a favor and take the UNDER.
I'll be here if I win, if I'm wrong about all of this, I'll still visit this thread humbled and a bit sharper.

no wide outs lol, you do know leads the leauge in receiving this year right.
royal and gaffney are 16th and 17th in the league as well so this is not a no wide out team, they are all solid options.

The Jets are of course now a big public darling and the pubes are all over them with less rest. Broncos come up big here and pull out the win.
Thoughts.

Broncos win this game if they can give orton time to throw the ball. Im just worried that he gets sacked liked 6 times and gives up a fumble or two.

The broncos are just one of those teams who loves to dissappoint you. They have made a brand out of it. That being said it never ceases to amaze me how badly they spank the other team when it seems they are going to get crushed. Especailly at 3mile.

they already lost to Indy as a home dog you said it yourself... sounds like you're chasing now LB, and I'm not in the chasing business. I only have a small play on the Jets, so if they lose I'll be alright, but best of luck.

Why would you bet +3 on this game? This game either goes straight up win for Broncos or lose by more than 3 points. Jets might linger around in first half but by end of game they either lose or win by more than 6 pts. That's Jets for you this year.

3-2 last year.
1-1 in 07/08
1-0 in 2002 the last time they were a home dog before 2007. I also believe they won a playoff game versus the pats as dogs a few years back at home.
i dont use stats and trends much but den is rarely a home dog. There record over the last few years as a home fave actually stinks. Nothing is for sure in sports but denver is something like 19-6 since 1985 as a home dog and i take it as a +3 home dog i have a slight edge on this game long term. Thats how i bet. I dont care if Denver doesnt cover this sunday i will take them every time in this spot and make money long term and i cant think of picking spots on not to bet them on a long term winning bet.

all i want to know is if you think any 13-3 year or better contender in past years (colts, pats, saints) has lost games like this and who do you think the teams that go 13-3 this year because there will be a couple. If you think Broncos are one of those teams left in the Jets tough schedule then play it.
still waiting on your answer on this. Don't think just because people that take the Jets are squares. In the end, you can't call someone that wins a square
I'm taking the 49ers this week. An 0-5 team is a 6 point favorite, enough said.

They're wideouts are not that good. They have good stats because they throw the ball 50 times a game, because they can't run it and have no choice. Denver's top wideout would be the Jets #4 receiver.

saints lost to bucs and panthers last year as DD faves one of those games on the road and one at home. if you want me to go and find those examples i can.
as for who i think will be the good teams i do believe the jets are on the list but i dont have a crystal ball and i am unable to predict games like you guys do, thats why i keep bringing in the dollars.
as for calling people squares for taking the jets thats my opinion, if you dont want me to say that report me to the mods and tell them to tell me what to type.

The same 0-4 team that was a -3 fave at home versus philly? The same 0-2 team that was a -3 fave in kc ? The line is just accurate of the matchup. SF should cover here but then again the Raiders just beat the Almighty ( better team ) chargers.

yes and I posted in your thread the raiders spread right there against the Chargers. 49ers won't lose this game LB just thank me later and put the ML into a parlay. And take the spread too.
if you think Denver is one of those teams that will beat the Jets or keep it within 2-3 then take them because the Jets won't lose more than 3-4 games this year and they have some tough games remaining. It could be one of those spots.

Okay Goat lets take a look at the Jets remaining schedule and try to PREDICT what games they will lose.
At Denver- no
vs GB - no
at Det-no
at cle-no
vs houston-no
vs cincy-no
at ne -maybe
vs miami- no
at pitt- maybe
at chi-no
vs buf-no
so based on perception they lose 2 games imo. what 3-4 games do you have in mind?

I think they will lose to Cinci and maybe pitt as well. so we both think they will probably go 13-3 or around there. Your saying you don't believe Denver can win straight up but will lose by 2? I know this is part of your system so i'm not questioning that, if you are confident then go for it.

Agree with you on this being a bad spot for Jets after the emotional win on MNF and almost letting their W slipped away in a hard fought game.
High altitude and let down. I see a Den SU here.
