I'd say yes... The team needs a better rotation if they want to go anywhere in the playoffs. Gardenshire is stubborn has been trying to make due with what he has for too long. Time for a change if the Twins want to get out of the playoff basement.

I'm also a life long Twins fan, although my first Twins memory is going to Game 2 of the 1991 ALCS against Toronto and in no way do I see the failure of the Twins in playoffs as Gardenhire's fault. There are two other factors that I see as the culprit for there lack of postseason success.

First of all is Morneau being out the past two postseasons. If he is in there this year, Cuddyer moves back to right field and Thome DH's with fewer appearances by Kubel who was terrible in the Yankees series.

The second problem is the lack of an ace. Liriano, while very good, is just as likely to go 2 innings and give up 6 runs as his is to go 8 and give up 1. Minus the Reds each team in the playoffs had someone who at makes the opposing fans nervous. Lee for the Rangers, Halladay for the Phillies, Lincecum for the Giants, etc.

Also let's not forget that the Twins were underdogs in most of these games and series'.

Yes. The simple fact that he let kubel bat in big spots despite the guy being like 2-30 in the playoffs shows he has no balls to make a move and just wanted to give his guys a chance. I was dissapointed in Minny's showing and im a yanks fan.

he should be let go, or at least given a ultimatum about going into next season. IF you are good enought to be amongs the elite teams every year, than you should be good enough to win some games. He hasnt done that
