Went to it last night and though the story will always be great to me, I don't think I was ever more disappointed in a movie then I was in this one. Maybe my expectations were just too high but thought it would have been a lot better.

saw it online already, great movie, d lane is supposed to look older in this movie and secretariat had recordds

Well I went to see it today. I didn't like it that much to be honest:

- Beginning and middle were dull.
- Most scenes at any track looked 'fake'. They make Aqueduct look like as nice as Del Mar.
- All the gospel kind of music was a poor choice. Plenty of other music from the 70's could have been used instead.
- Could have done more at the end instead of ending it with the Belmont victory. Everyone who sees the movie already knows he wins the Belmont - they should have done more after.

I was disappointed also.The director is from seminary school or something thats why all the religious songs and stuff.What bothered me was that its false and misleading.How can they portray the family as about to lose the barn when they won 2 legs of the triple crown the year prior with Riva Ridge?They were far from down and out.
