The Zooker is known for pulling a big win out of his ass. If they can contain Prior and make him a passer and not reverse field they may have a shot. I still think Prior is an accident waiting to happen and can become a turnover machine but he's really playing pretty good.

Overall though, I think OSU is going to blow them out because Tressel doesn't like Zook and will try to run up the score and Illini just doesn't have the same talent. I'd small play this, maybe they can cover and you can throw a little on the ML just for fun. I just wouldn't put rent money on the fighting Zookers.

I will say this though, Illinois went down into Mizzou and led at the half and coulda win. Mizzou is a damn good team. Ohio State hasn't even played a road game yet. 18 seems like a bit much here.

Definitely feel decent about taking the points. Illinois usually plays Ohio St well, and tressel is content to grind it out and punt with a lead if he knows they are going to win. I think Illinois has won like 8 of the last 20 matchups against the Buckeyes. But I don't see a straight up win here.

This is really one ridiculous thread. We are talking about a 5 win team at best. A team that has not even played an away game yet. A team that has two wins, one against a MAC team and the other against an FCS team. A team that has given up 30 points per game for the last two games to Ohio State. This game will be close until the 7 minute mark of the 1st quarter. Then, Illinois gets blown out. This is the definition of a homer thread, and I hate homers. Save it for the pep rally. Leave the posting to those who have something legitimate to say.

Ohio State played great football in all four games YTD and going back to last season they are on an amazing streak both SU and ATS. The quality is there, but as usual the hype is there as well. They are a great team but the hype around them is even greater. They haven't played on the road yet this season, and with the exception of their game vs Miami (overrated team imo), they haven't been tested at all. There have been only 2 teams in last 25+ years that started 4-0 SU and ATS in four home games and both those teams lost both SU and ATS their fifth game of the season, both times on the road. Last 4 times Ohio State played at Illinois the games have been extremely close with Illinois covering the spread 3 times. One game went to overtime and three others were either decided or stil in the air in the fourth quarter. Illinois is 6-3 ATS in last 9 and since their loss against Purdue last season this team outrushed every team they faced. They are much more a running team now and if their rushing offense plays well they will keep the ball away from Ohio State just enough to cover. Home dogs of 7-21 points winning less than 75% of their games are 18-0 ATS in games 3-7 revenging a loss in which they scored 0 and allowed 14+ pts, against teams winning 87% or more of their games. This same system predicted Washington's great cover (and outright win) over USC last season, as a 19 points home underdog. The play is Illinois +18.5

Illinois played a game vs. Mizzou in Mizzou on a "neutral field". Ohio State has not played a road game and they are the road team here. Illinois led by 10 at the half vs. Mizzou...and Mizzou is a damn good team. Illinois' two wins don't show much. But it also doesn't mean they can't hang with good teams, I think the Mizzou game showed that. And with two weeks to prepare, at home, I think they hang and cover, lose by around 10 or 11. 31-20 OSU
