they don't teach that at coaching school. only fans know about letting the other team score to give time to tie.

No way a running back is going down on first and goal from the 5 on his own. These players live to pad their stats and I'm sure a few have large bonuses based on yards/touchdowns. If he had a clear path to the endzone he would have taken it.

yeah totally, that was retarded to let them run the clock down, when forte coulda been allowed in with over a minute left and 2 time outs....stupid....but then green bay shot themselves in the foot with all the penalties tonight, that was inexcusable

They told him find a LB and hit him and go down. He did this 3 times in a row. Time runs out to 5 seconds. Bears score a FG and win the game. It is not rocket science.
Not sure what game you were watching but he was trying to score. If he was not trying then why would they even risk running the ball. They would have just got in the middle and knelt down. Here the funny thing. If that ball was 10 yards back, Chicago would have just knelt down and kicked it. Why would 5 yards closer make a difference.

That made no sense at all. Someone upstairs dropped the ball and is getting fukking reamed right now.

Right, if they weren't trying to punch it in, Cutler simply would have taken a knee.

the kneel down would have tipped off the green bay coaches enough for them to think about what was going on. keep running for 1 yard at a time and they won't suspect anything.

If any of you guys have a DVR and haven't changed the channel..

Rewind that shit and you'll see #50 Hawk was the only son of a bitch who was playing on defense and he shoestringed Forte and Forte reached for the end zone.. He didn't want to go down

The defense just locked up with the O-line and they were purposely letting him walk in

This isn't the first time I've seen a team let someone walk into the end zone.. That fool Hawk was just too jolly

Both of these coaches are morons. And Chicago is going nowhere. Every defense figures out Martz by mid-season. That's why he lasted 1 year in Detroit and 1 year in SF.

They let the other team score when necessary. not too often, but when needed they've even done safeties on purpose.

I agree Seattle... Both coaches are idiots. I don't know why they didn't let him score in that situation. But I also don't know why Chicago was running the ball. Stupid is as stupid does.

The refs weren't going to let GB win this one. That intentional grounding call on Rodgers late was horseshit. Not calling holds on the Bears was horseshit. After about 10 flags shouldn't the refs know to swallow their whistle? You can call a penalty on every play if you want to. The refs have to just let them play and quit trying to get on camera.
