your matchup theory is something no one mentioned before the coin toss. N.O. with a poor run D? They just shut down A. Peterson who is the best RB in the NFL. The matchup everyone was looking at was Brees vs a weak SF secondary. That secondary just got ROCKED by Hasselback.

Good guidelines but so much of it is subjective, hard to quantify. But certainly makes sense intuitively

those are all similar but all different....for example people might be doubting one team but still "hope" they are who they think they are so therefore the public will still back them....example dallas last week after washington loss.....people were already doubting dallas but public was still on them.Theres your example and there was no value on the line because Chicago was still underestimated and undervalued this year.
