Phillips should've killed the play. But he didn't. He let his QB make the call.

Romo had 2 options: 1.) throw an up for grabs hail mary pass, or 2.) go down and protect the football.

How are you right.....Romo drove them down the field and scored the game winning TD....He did what winners do...4th quarter comeback....Now he 's responsible for a terrible play by an olineman....The drive before that he made a first down on 3rd and 11 at midfield but that also got called back because of a holding penalty.....They would have scored there too.....Romo did his job.

One of the worst passer ratings ever, that is what a QB is supposed to do - PASS. Vick is down there with the likes of Tim Couch and Vinny.



By the way, Romo has since had the 1500 attempts to qualify and is merely #3 on this list now.

Romo is one of the most competitive players in the league - if he was in Pittsburgh or Green Bay everyone would worship him. Anti-Cowboy bias has become comical here.

Wade phillips is under rated as a coach because he presents himself like a slob. He has a better winning percentage in dallas, than a LOT of greats. He seems handcuffed by Jerry Jones, I am sure he would NOT be drafting WRs in the first round, or throwing the ball like a maniac if he was on his own.

Romo and Carson Palmer, look like really great QBs. They can make all the throws, They can make great last second drives... and yet. They are not ELITE. I think ROMO is caught in a power struggle between the OC and Wade, some passive aggressive garbage, It's always a bad idea to have the successor waiting in the wings... Phillips is a great Defensive mind, his offense is questionable.. For the Cowboys sake, he ought to tell ROMO, the OC and anyone who will listen that the problem has been in the play calling. The schedule should be this, run, run, and then throw. This team is built to run the ball, because of their talent all over the field. IF running was more of a priority the passing game would be completely unstoppable.

Get off Romo. He's still an above average quarterback. People hate him because:
1. He's a pretty boy who gets hot girls.
2. NFL markets him as an elite quarterback when he's only above average at this point.
3. He plays for the hated Dallas Cowboys.
Romo is still much better than the starting QB for:
Philly (Kolb), Detroit, Tampa Bay, Carolina, Seattle, Arizona, San Francisco, St. Louis, Miami, NY Jets, Buffalo, Pittsburgh (no Big Ben), Cleveland, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Denver, Oakland, Tennessee
He's equal to (imo):
Washington, Giants, Chicago (maybe moving up in class soon), Minnesota (based on my expectation of Favre going forward), San Diego, Cincinnati, Baltimore (possible regression)
Only Indy, New England, NO, Houston, and Green Bay possess quarterbacks significantly better with Pittsburgh joining them once they reclaim Big Ben.
