I am shocked how much gamblers hate baseball............................
IMO baseball is the best sport to bet on. Football is the best sport to watch.!
Agree with this statement 100%,without bases I
d have a hard time betting football.

The books make most of their money all year on 18 or so weeks of NFL and would love to break even during the long baseball season.
Ask yourself, which should you be betting???
Baseball you can make big money, lines are too sharp to consistantly win in the NFL.
Love how baseball gets bashed becuase they are not the best athletes.
This is true but it does not make it easier than other pro sports.
No other sport in most cases requires years of playing in college only to be good enough for the lowest level of minor leagues.
From their another 3 years in the minors before you sniff the majors and msot struggle their first couple of years in the majors.
Sure there are exceptions to the rule (Stratsburg and others) but compare that to the NFL or NBA ; all of the good players go straight to the pro level without struggling.
Really think about that next time you say MLB baseball is not as difficult as other sports.
Lazy, overpaid, not as fast in 40 yard race, pre-madonnas sure, but an easy sport I don't think so.
Personally I bet large wagers in baseball when I find a game I really like (maybe once a week maybe twice a day) have done quite well doing this too ; and in NFL I bet flat each game cuase I don't think the odds are in my favor.
Every year though, those that lost oney in baseball (which can happen to everyone) will look towards football as the saving grace and end up further in the hole. I laugh at all of the pre-season NFL betting, to me same as betting MLB spring training games ; insane.

I'll take basketball, hockey and baseball over NFL.
Agreed. Football is my favorite sport but I would take bases, hockey and basketball over the NFL as well. I've done better in hockey before than I have with football.

The hardest thing in the world in any sport is to hit a basbeall. If you fail 7 out of 10 times your in the hall of fame

I know. I love how ppl say you don't have to be athletic to play baseball. Um, just watch top ten plays everynight on ESPN or weekly top 10. It's sick the dives, throws, leaps these guys make. Oh ya, and hit a tiny ball going 90 MPH with a freakin wooden bat over a fence very hard away. Also, these balls are curving, twisting, sliding, slowing down and speeding up, could be any location around the plate.
I'm missing baseball already.

Unlike a lot of degens, I have patience to pick and choose. I also have 3 guys I really trust and when some are on both sides of a game I just lay off. If 2 out of 3 agree or 3 out of 3 I go with it. My first bet of the entire NFL season was the under yesterday. I use strict bankroll management, never get buried, and don't chase. I've played poker for a living since 2005, put myself through school, and just got into sportsbetting last fall. It is supplemental income for me and I take it seriously. I did well this year picking my spots. I'm pretty sure anyone tailed capps like Paco on here, assuming bankroll management, did very good this year.

I don't understand.american football is the most popular sport in USA. why American people like this boring sport? strange! I prefer to watching desperate housewives Also lines are very hard.just wondering anyone make money in long-term? ok maybe this is possible in CFB I admit.(because there are lots of pros lines) but in NFL? could you make money in long term ? Definitely MLB is better than american football for betting (and watching) usually my friends prefer to baseball. baseball is more popular than NFL in Europe

I'm extremely wet behind the ears when it comes to Sports betting, so I'll readily admit my opinion carries little wieght on the subject. However, Baseball has killed me especailly with the little 1/2 spread on the end. I did pick a bad time to start with bases (Week 15) and tailed the right capper at the wrong time (Vegas Gold). Bases just brought me heartache.
I'm doing pretty well at football so far. I just think there is a edge in football. Like any sports you just have to be willing to ride 2-3 key games and let the bingo players handle the rest. I to play poker for a living, so patience is a virtue that pays dividends.

Just saw this thread and after reading several post's stating how some of you crushed it in MLB, I was just wondering where your threads are with all of those crushing picks.I would really like to review a few of them to see if I can maybe pick up a few pointers.

just like most gamblers hate baseball, the same can be said for the bookies... they have to set "correct" line for 15 games almost every week including series price (if provided) at the start of every new series...
so, have to agree with some posters here, you want to try to crash the bookies the "easy way"? try baseball with very good mm and lots of time and patience to see through 15 games line almost every single day too for 6 months non stop .
just my opinion for start betting this mlb since may this year. get burned at the start because of this crazy schedule, to be honest. I want to try it again next season. Because this is clearly the only major sport bookies hate.
