#71Yeah, my page loads were really strange - that's why I assumed SBR was playing with my account somehow. Instead of popping up with the error message 'problem responding, check your browser settings, network connection, etc' the page just sat there. At one point I went to have a shower and made some lunch and when I came back it was still trying to load instead of just timing out eventually. Very strange.Comment -

#72Originally posted by timmyboy34243forgive me if this is a duplicate but i didn't read all the through the previous posts:
had emails today with willie bee and he incated it was my problem but i use internet explorer. both my home and office computers are on lynksys routers. couldn't get to sbr forum until i by-passed the router and now works fine. did something change in / on your security? worked fine on sat but useless on sunday and today ( until now).
I have the exact same problem, I also have a linksys router, and if I bypass the router everything is ok, but once you plug in the router the site does not load anymore unless you use a proxy server (hint new ip address) my buddy across town has a linksys router, same problems and this is happening with all browsers. It seems the problem is IP based, with no router I have a different IP address that works, once I plug up the router, I now have a different IP than when I'm not on the router and it will not load the site.... seems there is some IP blocking somewhere or a problem w/ routing tablesComment -

#73Do you use IE? I remember having some popups blocked even if a new window was launched and I'd get a sound.Originally posted by bradtheblokealso cant get into the my points page. i click it and it makes a sound as if i clicked it but nothing happens
I've forwarded your comment to our tech staff for closer review. If you can tell us the browser you're using when attempting to access http://store.sbrforum.com/log/bradthebloke it could help narrow down the issue.Comment -

#75Sometimes I can't open up a few threads, sometimes the site is slow. Often the SBR odds does not work. But problems come and go without me doing anything. Don't know if it is server problem, network problem or browser problem. Could be one of those or combination kind.Comment -

#77I wonder if some servers now have build-in security feature to temporarily disable access from specific IPs if they think they are under attack (like too many refreshes) from these addresses.Originally posted by i4jelway7I have the exact same problem, I also have a linksys router, and if I bypass the router everything is ok, but once you plug in the router the site does not load anymore unless you use a proxy server (hint new ip address) my buddy across town has a linksys router, same problems and this is happening with all browsers. #87The only thing I have noticed is if I try to scroll down a page in a large thread before it fully loads the page I won't see the whole page. It might cut off the last 15 posts of the page. If I just wait a extra couple seconds it works fine. It might be my computer or not having a fast connection. It could also be I'm pretty far from my wireless router when it happens. But I don't remember having the issue on any other site. But a little patience and I'm all good.
SBR is doing a great job.

#88Did a full router powerdown for 1/2 hour, reset everything, still have to use the UK proxy to get in
Interesting thing, run a check on dnssy.com on sbrforum.com. Something is not correct with nameservers as it throws up a mismatch of what one set thinks versus the other ... was there a recent change to any underlying server details, IPs, movements, etc which perhaps was not tidied up properly?
It's very strange, I can wget the URL and index.html is as expected, I can wget "http://forum.sbrforum.com/clientscript/vbulletin_css/style-6863751b-00011.css" and it comes as expected, but browsing attempts in latest versions of firefox, chrome, or opera achieve nothing and just sits with spinner trying to complete the page load. Am running Ubuntu so trying IE is not an option unfortunately.Comment -

#89Hmmm .. able to get in directly without issues and loads relatively quickly by adding to my hosts file the necessary entries for forum/store/etc as overrides so perhaps it is related to the nameserver issue I highlighted in the earlier post.Comment -

#94Thanks guys, it looks like the network issues upstream may be getting better. We are still looking into it. The reason the tracerts are timing out is because the routers are simply blocking the ICMP protocol.Comment -

#96I'm using firefox 3.6.8 on windows vista, last 2 days I wasn't to able to get onto sbr, it was just hang. thought it was pc, or internet. oddly when DSI (Diamond sports Int) went down I couldn't get into sbr
so I called up DSI, cust service told me that they are having some issues. went on sbr through my blackberry it went through, had to try it a few times but it went through. now that DSI is back up running normally I can get into sbr with no problems.... Don't know if it is related or not, but very odd
