#37I browse SBR using multiple versions of Firefox, currently using firefox 4.04b.
I've never had any major issues. But the problem that Shari is describing can be to do with our distance from the SBR web server seeing as we live in Australia and naturally the site does not load as quickly and on occasion will "time out".
Only problem I ever have is the SBR videos seem to take a long time to buffer properly but this is an issue on all browsers.
But yeah this site and Firefox seem very compatible in my experiences.

#39It may be a distance issue but I've seen Americans start threads about the same problem I'm having and if I'm not mistaken, John also experienced the same thing. Once you clear out your cookies, it works fine again.Originally posted by DomesticI browse SBR using multiple versions of Firefox, currently using firefox 4.04b. I've never had any major issues. In reality, the issue I'm having isn't Earth-shattering. Just more annoying to have to clear my cookies out every day and a half or so.Comment -

#51connection to sbr problems
forgive me if this is a duplicate but i didn't read all the through the previous posts:
had emails today with willie bee and he incated it was my problem but i use internet explorer. both my home and office computers are on lynksys routers. couldn't get to sbr forum until i by-passed the router and now works fine. did something change in / on your security? worked fine on sat but useless on sunday and today ( until now).
Originally posted by Bill DozerWe have a solid site thanks to all the fast feedback and bug reporting from posters here but we need your help to make sure there are no issues with the firefox browser.
Unfortunately we've seen seemingly rare random issues like an image not loading or a thread topic refusing to open. Since these aren't problems that mean visitors can't use the site and are somewhat minor, people work around them.
Instead, we need you to tell us about them! Write to forum@sbrforum.com with Firefox in the subject or PM any site admin. We'll keep a list of any known issues here and give posters SBR points for any website-related firefox bugs.
Some of the things we'll need to know...
Are you using the latest 3.6.8 version? What windows or mac OS are you using? And of course, what happened on what forum page? Screenshots are great.
You can also type in "about:config" into your browser address bar and copy and paste the info into an email or PM, which would help us greatly.
If you'd like to help by becoming a firefox user, you can download Firefox here.Comment -

#59Well today after I sent the about:support screenshot to the ivanator I was locked out from the forum for 4-6 hours. (Stopped trying after 4, it was working again after 6). All other aspects of the site worked fine ie Chat, Sportsbook reviews, etc... but the forum wouldn't load at all. Just hung there indefinitely.Comment -

#64I emailed this in via the contact us link but my connection to here is so crappy past few days posting it here as well ( via a UK proxy, is only way I can even load the forums at the moment )
If one goes to nwtools.com or network-tools.com and whacks in forum.sbrforum.com, routing errors pop up in the miami trunk of level3.net.
mysbrforum.com I have no issues but that is a different IP and domain than the main sbrforum.com site ... something network wise is amiss, perhaps register an upstream complaint to level3 and/or your hosting agent.Comment -

#67Chachi, could this be why I couldn't get on the forum for a chunk of time today but I could access chat and everything else?! I thought maybe the ivanator was working on something after I sent that about:support log but this sounds more likely now if I'm understanding you correctly.Originally posted by chachiI emailed this in via the contact us link but my connection to here is so crappy past few days posting it here as well ( via a UK proxy, is only way I can even load the forums at the moment ) If one goes to nwtools.com or network-tools.com and whacks in forum.sbrforum.com, routing errors pop up in the miami trunk of level3.net. mysbrforum.com I have no issues but that is a different IP and domain than the main sbrforum.com site ... something network wise is amiss, perhaps register an upstream complaint to level3 and/or your hosting agent.Comment -

#68No worries John, glad to be of help.
Yes Shari ... I've even logged it with Level3 as a "site user complaint" and they have responded back that their Miami boys are looking into it.
I can get into the forum via a UK proxy no problems but if I try direct from here in Cyprus the browser just sits and never completes a page load at all
