Have you ever seen the pictures of those book offices when SBR used to tour them? They are not living in big estates and they don't eat steak every night. They will be happy to break even.

I hit 1 all but 3 weeks last year, And it was Pittsburgh F'ing me 2 weeks straight. Happy to say I won't be betting them much this year, with #7 out for a few games.

you must tread carefully with teasers. only nfl first rule. only 1-6 1/2 pt. underdogs can be teased up. do not subtract ever. 11th commandment do not subtract on a 2 team teaser. only play 2 teamers rule 3. can be used to go for middles if for example you play a 1:00 game with a later game. you can create a 12 point middle if you are sharp. but remember do not subtract.

I bet about 1-2 teasers per NFL weekend. There is some value in them depending on the point spread, defense, division games, among other things. I've been winning with teasers for the past 3 years or so. A couple of things to consider:

1. Be sure that you know the rules of the sports book. For the 3-team, 10-point teasers, some books treat a tie as No-Action while other books treat a tie as a loss.

2. I think that it's a mistake to handicap a point spread and then bet a teaser thinking that the extra points are added insurance. When capping a point spread, I am looking for a line that is off and represents some value. For teasers, I mostly look for lines that are very tight so that I can exploit the added points.

Curious, how often do you actually find lines you feel are off? And when you talk of exploiting a tight line, what's your personal definition of a 'tight line'?

Teasers have poor odds just avoid them they are for rookies. If you need additional points you should just avoid the bet.
