You have a better chance of getting a job at SBR than getting enlist in the AF. Just keep applying for jobs. Many small companies don't actually run a background check. Skip the larger companies. Of course, don't tell them you have a rap sheet.

How about going into politics ? You should get a law degree, though.

I believe Marion Berry ( Wash DC mayor) was busted for crack, sent to prison, then re-elected.

Most Senators/ Congressmen are felons ( but maybe not convicted).

36M, whats up? Why are you still talkin Air Force??? You can't get in! Plain & simple. Why the AF anyway? It sucks. If you're gonna join the armed services join the fukin Marine Corp. It'll be alot of fun, you'll more than likely get to kill some people, and get paid! Whats not to love? Plus when you get out you'll always have an excuse for being a fuked up individual when you do something fuked up!

You dont have to know french to be in the foreign legion, as no one in it is french!!! But like I said, thats a last resort because you give up your identity completely

cube, I agree that the military will brainwash you. May not be the career choice of someone who is real independent minded. But it sounds like our friend here is looking for options that doesnt require alot of free thinking.

I'm actually about 85% sure I'll be joining the AF, and they currently have a Delayed Entrance Program which essentially means you wouldn't even get a job with them for another 6 months. Plus, with a felony, you probably won't get in. No offense, they're just more selective because they don't necessarily need people at the moment. Try the Army, it's bigger than all the other branches combined and have thousands of career options.

With a felony.. your best bet will be the Marines.

If you want to make some real money and do what the military is doing (basically war), then you should look into Blackwater. You will make $100K a year easily through contracts.

If you are bilingual in Spanish, you will more than likely be in South America(fighting the war on drugs) and won't have to deal with Afghanistan/Iraq.
