Merchant marine or French Foreign legion(seriously) after they break your balls for three months you sit around Zarie and hope nothing goes wrong

French Foreign Legion will take you no matter what, but you pretty much give up your identity. Save that for when you have 3 felonies & kill a man in Reno just to watch him die. The Air Force has always been the most selective of the US armed forces, but the Corp & Army should have no problem taking you if you are a decent age & good physical shape. The army even upped their enlistment age a few years back so they'll take old fuks now as long as you can pass basic training. Marine Corp should take you with no problems as long as you're in good physical condition & if you can ace the aptitude test you should be good. They DEFINITELY won't take a felon and a fukin idiot!

when i joined the army in 2001, i had to jump through hoops to get a waiver for a dui i had gotten in 97 or 98....not sure about getting in with a felony....

check out the discussion board on goarmy dot com....they have recruiters who answer questions, i know yours has been asked many times, but don't feel like looking the answer up for you

Agree Air Force would be the choice, too bad you're likely ineligible. A couple of my friends went in out of HS ( 1982). One has been retired for several years now, the other guy ( a real loser type BTW) was a Major last I heard ( like 5+ years ago), he's probably a Colonel now and/ or retired.

No way would I enlist in the Army today ( if I was younger) straight to the warzone, screw that.

Maybe you could be some kind of independent contractor there and at least make the 100k+ for awhile, without being full on Army or USMC.

Air Force will not take you...If you have a degree you should go to United States Army Officer Candidate School....

im a junior in college and with the current state of the economy, my background, and one of the most common majors continuing school just seems kinda pointless. ive always had air force in the back of my mind but it looks like thats not an option anymore
