Earl Campbell or Jim Brown. However, I think having a large and dominating offensive line in front of them is more important.

I was just going to post Ironhead.

How about the Lions old Fullback, Corey Schlesinger? Not very well known, but it seemed like he always got that 1 yard. Even behind that terrible offensive line the Lions always seem to have.
