Who skipped there 10 year or 20 year reunion
mine is saturday, i went to the last one, wasn't really that big. I don't want to see anyone anyway, but now they are all on facebook telling me i must go.

Ive lost hair, gained 100 pounds, no job, don't drink. I don't want to see them or them see me

I planned on renting a cool car instead of pulling up in my 2008 taurus to look cool but they would know its not mine or at least the local people. The reunion is only 20 min away.

I should tape it and get wasted and just kick some ass, but ill probaly be home playing online poker and in a chat room

Skipped both, I see the people I want and they see me. Don't need to see all the others, just names in a hat now.

Just go. They are fun. People don't care what you do or look like. It's just a time to get together with your old friends, classmates, and drink and shoot the shat. Of course they will ask what you are doing with your life, but really they aren't judging they are just wondering what other people are up to. I went to my 10 year 2 years ago, and a lot of people just lost their job, just got a new job, or were going back to school. Also, the event is probably only 3-4 hours long; when I went there wasn't even enough time to talk to everyone. If you want to hang out more, usually people go to the bars after. You could also split after a couple hours if there was no one you really wanted to talk to.

You will have regrets if you don't go. It's one night to hang out; how many times have you gone to the bars to hang out with randoms? Here is something to do for 1 night that gives you a chance to have an interesting night, instead of posting on SBR forum!

Hasn't even been 10 years for me but you bet your ass I WON'T be going. There were only 60 students in my class and I pissed off most of them.

I passed on the ten and twenty year reunion. The ten I found out late and the twenty I was in between jobs and didn't want to deal with it. I have minor regrets, yet at the end of the day I'm glad I didn't go. High school was not a happy time for me and I felt no need to relive it.

People that go to reunions are normally nerds, or people who want to "show off" how cool they've gotten since high school.

It has never crossed my mind to go. I don't associate with anyone from high school, and being only 25 most of them still live where I went to high school, and when I go into town to my parents, and I stop in a restaurant/bar, there is normally 1 or 2 people I know from high school. I don't even bother talking to them, cuz they're BUMS.

                  Move on with your life.

Who cares what people from your high school are doing. IF you had any friends back then, I'm sure you still keep in touch with them, and who gives a FUKK about the rest of them.

I skipped the 10 and probably will not go to the 20 either. I have a group of friends from high school that I still hang out with and I don't care enough about the rest of the people in my class to waste any of my time hanging out with them now.

                      Why would I?
                      Mother fuckers picked on me

Calling me 2x4 and whipping me with milk weeds.

I should go and basically have attitude look at me now. I should put guns to their head and scare them for picking in me 27 years ago.

i organized 5, 10 and 20 year school reunions (20 year was grade school) and loved em all. I get a kick out of seeing old faces for the 1st time in 20 years, its amazing how your mind reverts back to where it was at that time and remembering the people, some bad, most good.

Reunions are a blast, i never miss it.

JJ, my wife feels the SAME as you...she is from Alberta, and was the nerd/valedictorian of her class, got picked on, ETC...she says fuk em, i love it though.

I just got on Facebook to keep in touch with my cousin out in Colorado, and to talk to other cousins that I only see a few times a year. I have 54 friends....About 30 of them are family, and then 20 of my friends that I talk to regularly.

I laugh at all the people from high school trying to send me requests...We talked 7 years ago when we were in high school, haven't really talked since then, so I don't care to see what they look like or "catch" up with them.

yup. i honestly think that in the 12 years since graduating i have talked to maybe 3 people that was in my graduating class.

if these people wanna catch up on 12 years via facebook, we gonna be there a while

well i have alot of my classmates and see there posts and thats enough imo. They will all want me to dance and drink. I have really nothing to say to them either, even though i was the greatest athlete in the class. Plus more than half are not going anyway because who would want to use vacation time to come to a little city in kentucky to meet someone you can chat with on the net

I went to my 10-year, it was pretty fun -- But I'm way too much of a loser for any more reunions. It's one thing to be nowhere in your life 10 years after graduation... it's another thing to continue to be that beyond the 20-year point. Don't need to see everyone's successes and then have to answer for myself. No thanks.

Class of 1982 here. I didn't go in 1992 lived in LV then, too far from CT. Back in CT by 2002 just didn't really care to attend. I've seen maybe 5 of these people ( of 300) since 1982. I know of two that have died probably a few more have ?

It would be too weird 30 years later, then half of the people there would be spouses. I prefer to remember these people as being 17-18 years old.

Attendance might only be like 20-30 % ( a guess). It takes somebody from the class to organize it. I've seen reunions ( From this very school) canceled for lack of interest.

Some notice of the tenth was sent to my Mom's house, she's deceased now. Finding people would be hard. Linda Smith could have married Joe Zullo and moved to Texas. How do you find her in 1992 ?

I'd like to hear what %age attends these events.
