Yeah DCaprio is awesome..when used correctly

shutter island perfect example of movie that had great actors. tremendous setting location and a great set up for a fantastic movie. It had all the elements to be great..except for shitty directing and a crap plot

they could have done so much with that old civil war fort and the set..but they crapped out imo

I thought Nolan left that up to how the viewer interpreted it

Saw it last night and Loved it!
2/4 of our group got it but you do need some intelligence and imagination to connect the dots.
I went in knowing it would be hard to follow and although the first half hour or so was a little rough I started catching on quick...
I would compare it to something similar to the Matrix where some would have to see it more than once to fully understand the whole thing...
Was very fun to watch. Too bad you didn't enjoy it. Judging by your avatar and sig it looks like you loved Kick Ass... Saw that too... didn't Love it actually thought it was stupid at points because the characters got annoying.... but to each his own.

Not everyone will like this move because some just like to stare at the screen and let the movie tell them every detail of whats going on. If that is the kind of viewer you are you do not have a chance with Inception.

        Spoiler
I still want to know about the totem at the end! ... looks like it topples over but I guess that is whats so great about the movie as it makes you imagine something further... like a movie should. But if it didnt topple would he see his kids faces? or did he see them from memory and assumed he was in reality? I noticed a post where the entire movie was a dream... I think that is left to the viewer... but definitely a valid argument.

Overall I personally loved it. Not going to be the same for everyone obviously. Give it a chance at least.

Saw Inception yesterday...went to see SALT but the movie was starting in 40 minutes so I went to see Inception with the intention of walking out after 40 minutes. Turn out the movie is great, the movie is self explanatory...not at all a "thinker" how some people describe it. In my opinion the movie is worth seeing.

Yeah, LOVED Orphan... I've been digging a lot of the recent "creepy" sort of horror/thrillers... another awesome movie that I did not expect to be so much fun was Drag Me to Hell. Anyone see that? Awesome!
