golf on city course.free for residents

I tried to tell the guy at my city course I should be able to play for free.

He told me if I played without paying he was gonna call the police.

I left without playing

thats the short version.

any opinions on whether I'm right or wrong?

I contend it's a city park and no different than going to a frisbee golf course or tennis courts or basketball courts at the local city park

I have snuck on country clubs and not been threatend with police action


I have played the course in question hundreds of times for free when my buddy worked there and have paid and have no problem paying for golf

so lets try and get the debate off of me and onto the subject and question at hand.

I have worked maintenance at a city golf course

the course is built the tractors are bought the major expenses are paying the people after that

And what people do you have to pay to keep the local basketball court in good shape? Upkeep on a single hole is going to cost a hell of a lot more than the basketball court, greens especially are expensive as hell.

I do not own the cops but they are indeed working for me as hard as that is to understand

while I cannot use one for personal protection they are indeed personally protecting me in their mind
