This was a divorce. Gilbert can act any way he wants. When your wife leaves you and takes half, do you should take the high road? Didn't think so. Nobody wins in this marriage, LeGone left Cleveland for the new pretty girl in school. Happens all the time.

Dan Gilbert is just upset the value of his franchise dropped by 100 million in 8 seconds.

Also Lebron was tired of being pimped out by Dan Gilbert. Then there is the fact that they continued to bring shitty role players in... Lebron needed to go, but he just went to the wrong place.

He went to a wannabie nba dream team

Gilbert bowed down to James and did everything to please him like getting what players that they could to play along side of him.Getting his boys paid,Getting the right coach and GM to please him and whatever it took thats what Gilbert did even going over the salary cap to win a NBA title.Gilbert got blindsided and I don't think he expected that to happen in his mind and he got pissed off at James when he decided to play for the Heat.Things will start coming out here about James and things wont be pretty when they do trust me on that.

I wish I was a loser like Gilbert... worth close to a billion dollars and own an nba franchise.

and no shit he wouldn't have been mad if Lebron stayed, dumbfuck statement of the year.

one thing is for sure... Lebron won't be welcome back in Ohio...ever... not even in Akron... his own neighborhood where he grew up was out vandalizing all of his billboards... pretty funny actually... they made all the "Home" billboards say "Ho"

ever see a drama queen put on a circus on national tv to say where he is signing and slapping his hometown in the face on national TV? Not only did he leave, e had intentions of leaving the whole time. And If he was a man, he woulda told them it is unlikely he would re-sign, that way te organization woulda had a chance to sign a big free agent. But he fvcked them every way he could.

Your not full of shit but your post is... Gilbert lost more money last year with Lebron. Look at the books. He has been waaay over the cap the past 5 years and paying out the ass to bring in talent. Lebron's non commitment 5 years ago then again 3 years ago was the biggest reason the Cav's couldn't bring in another superstar. The Cav's kept trying but Lebron wouldn't. Not once did he try and recruit anyone to Cleveland. Don't believe the BS about him trying to bring Bosh. It didn't happen.

The Cav's brought in more people in the past 5 years then any other team in the NBA. Larry Hughes, Ben Wallace, Wally Szcerbiak, Donyel Marshall, Joe Smith, Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison, Shaq... All of them All Stars at one point. Big Z was an all star, Verajao one of the top defensive players in the league, etc. Lebron was the one in the ear of Ferry telling him who he wanted. Lebron signed off on every trade. Doesn't that make it his fault as well?

Cleveland wins more games the past 5 years than any other team and you say they could have brought in better players

This is the big ruse the "chosen one" played on everybody. Not only did he crown himself before he won shit. He also convinced everyone that the only reason they didn't win was because of everyone else. How the hell do you win 66 games with one person? You don't. On one hand you say he can't do it on his own but in the same breath say that the only way they win is on his own You sir... have been had.

Then to see him tank games and fake an injury all in an effort to pull off an insidious plan to team with Wade and Bosh that was hatched years ago. Who does that? Where's his integrity? What excuse will the Lebron apostles give when the Heat win less games than the Cav's did last year? I'm sure they'll find a way to blame Bosh or their bench...

Dan Gilbert didn't buy the Cav's to make money. He bought the Cav's to make a winner. 100 million dollars isn't that big of a deal to a multi billionaire. That's his Cav payroll every year. He can afford it. He's committed to winning and has put his money where his mouth is. Unfortunately Lebron wasn't committed to winning here and people are just now realizing that.

I think the funniest part was the Comic Sans font.

I checked twitter and there were hundreds of tweets about the font within an hour of the letter being posted.

Haters make the world go round and round and round. If it were not for the haters LeGone would be filthy rich in Cleveland with no pressure to win any championships. Haters always point to his resume that he has won nothing since the high school championships. Not how great of an all around player he is. Haters point out how LeGone has to take the last shot and not get the best possible shot for a teammate. Haters point out how instead of leading a team to a championship but following someone else to get one. Haters are not happy. Why shouldn't LeGone be happy. Tell the Cavs, thanks, but no thanks. Leave early and don't look back. Tell them you don't want to be with them anymore early so that they can move on. If you are leaving your wife, give her a chance to move on instead of marrying someone else and telling her on your honeymoon. Fair is fair. Don't be like the dog and the hay analogy. Dogs don't eat hay, but won't let the cows eat it either.

i dont think he is only mad because he left, i thinkg he is mad because lebron made it look like he was coming back and it was a real slap in the face when he didnt. After all the time he took, and going on national tv, i think dan figured he wouldnt rip the heart out of the city.

Huh? Do you have a clue about basketball? Miami approached Cleveland with the S&T so that Lebron could make the same amount of money as Wade and Bosh plus they can lock him up for another year. Dan Gilbert said hell no but eventually was convinced by Grant to at least get something for nothing.

Well , we shall see. No more excuses about not having the right team around him and all that. If Miami can bring home a championship in a couple of years then the naysayers will be silenced. If not, Lebron will be on his way to being one of the greatest players of all time who was NOT a champion. There is a difference.
