Jules, there are many variations of compliments. One can receive a compliment based on their performances, character or any number of different attributes.

For instance, in 1998 I received Recreation Volunteer of the Year award. I signified recognition to my contributions and dedication to youth sports.

As it applies to posting I have received a couple that I take to heart. Illini gave me a compliment the other day in a thread that meant a great deal to me because it told me he actually read and understood me. When someone as jaded and been through the ringer of decades of posting hell like a JJ Gold actually says without any type of punch line to come that you are a good guy that too is a compliment you can take to heart.

A completely different type of achievement and acknowledgement that coincided with it was a certain evening with a special lady. At the time I was hardly an accomplished lover, one might say I was extremely inexperienced. I made the commitment early on that I would never be a guy that just sexed a lady I would always make love to her. On the evening in question I decided to try a new technique, something I had never attempted before. I took my time, I set it up accordingly and I followed it through to completion. In the end her eyes glazed over, her mummers became passionate roars and her body trembled and shook from euphoric exhaustion. No words were needed because her reaction was all the compliment I needed.


As for compliments I have given that mean the most or are the highest form of compliment I could ever give, it would have to be when I tell someone that I admire them and hope to one day be a little more like them.

As far as compliment's received, I don't really pay much attention. I'm narcissistic by nature, so I'm already aware of whatever compliment any person wants to give me. As far as me giving a compliment, hell, if I choose to hang out with a person, that's a compliment enough :P

"If you told me to (insert something stupid or dangerous), I would do it."

The trick is to keep a straight face. Don't come out with, "If you told me to anally rape a mime with a bratwurst, I'd do it." and expect your girl to get all excited. Because 1.) You'd never get through that without laughing, and 2.) It's kinda creepy anyway. You want something charming, maybe subtly death-defying. Think of something you would normally need a stunt double for. That's what you should be aiming for here.

As far as compliments go a Yale Graduate and Professor told me I was one of the brightest minds he had ever seen and that I had the power to change the world. This made me look at life from a whole new perspective. My life has changed in wonderful ways since those days and I now know this is true... I have officially "Made It!"
