#6because he was a sympathetic figure during the slowspeed chase, holding a gun to his head in the backseat of a white bronco, though it was ACs bronco not his. you cannot charge for some small thing like that when you've got a double murder charge. does this make sense or no?Comment -

#18Originally posted by hoopster42johnnie cochran not jonnie, and he's not the reason the los ang d.a. decided not to introduce the slowspeed chase. it was because most of america and of course southern california viewed oj as a sympathetic figure during the chase and it would have been something in favor of oj. the jury would have ignored the consciousness of guilt element of oj fleeing and focused on how "bad the lapd was" for trying to arrest oj. i know 100 times more about this case than anyone you know or anyone you know, knows.Comment -

obamaismydaddy's response: "the answer is jonnie cochran".
obama misspells mr. cochran's first name, and gives the wrong answer!

#30anyone catch the part at the end where they asked Pat Riley if "oj simpson doesn't cut to the left, do you think he makes it"
Amazing how the NBA finals was taken over by this...i remember in Chicago the game was down in the little corner of the screen, picture in picture.
Also amazing that Griffey Jr hit his 30th homer of the season on JUNE 17th!!! Fukking Strike that year, terrible, i was only betting on Horses then, so i didn't care as much.
Went to Woodstock 94 when the Strike happened. thats another story LOLComment -

#32Is this a serious question? They had him for double murder, what the **** does a resisting arrest charge do?
I always forget but it makes me smile every time I remember that OJ is in jail for the rest of his life. You have got to be one stupid mother****er to beat a murder charge then get 25 years for robbery 15 years later."This is why my basketball intelligence is unmatched on this site. I'm sure there are better cappers but no one can tell you the strategies of most coaches before the game even starts "

#33no doubt the number of non-white jurors had a big part in OJ going free..... I was a freshmen or sophmore in HS during this trial.....and I can remember having a spirited debate in our civics class...
my contention was that there was no way OJ would be found Guilty because a) the minorities (jurors) felt they deserved to finally get the "WIN" in a highly public forum and b) the white jurors if not tampered with from the outside, would be made fully aware if they were in danger of hanging the jury.....that bringing in a guilty or hung jury verdict would mean THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANOTHER HUGE SET OF RIOTS.
looking back, I might have been a bit too much a conspiracy theorist in my youth....... but I remember knowing early on in that trial that justice would not be served, even though at least 97% of rational unbiased human beings would know OJ was guiltyComment -
