when you quite a job in this manner it is usually it hasty decision..unless you have a guaranteed source of income tomorrow I want you to call them, apologize and tell them you lost your cool and made a hasty decision that you now regret

Beg them for it back and grow some thicker skin. Make up a personal problem for why you snapped and say it won't happen again. You won't be able to replace it anytime soon with something else it sounds like.

Life is a struggle man, there are ups and downs. I hope you get things worked out. I am in the opposite situation. My work is better than I ever could imagined and I am living a dream. My personal life is a disaster at the moment.

you know what..I recently started stealing my wife and daughters pain killers..Now I know why they are always happy and singing and at other times down

fuk it, you obviously didnt like the job or you wouldnt have made the hasty decision. Things like this happen for a reason. I have quit alot of jobs like that. If you were great at your job & they appreciate you they'll call you in the morning & ask you to rethink, I've had a few do that & then you have the upper hand.

You will work your ass off in this life until you learn how to exploit & take advantage of others. Sorry to hear Cuse but obviously you weren't happy in your current setting or you would not have made the decision you made. If you still feel the same way as you did earlier by walking out, than best of luck to you and it may end up being the best decision of your life. On the otherhand if you are second guessing yourself and feel like you made the wrong decision, than I would suggest stopping into work tomorrow or if you feel it would be akward just calling them and telling them you are sorry and would like another chance. Either way best of luck.

Appreciate the responses, I'll give the rest of my story. It wasn't a great job, I loaded trucks at UPS so obviously it's not life ending. Had great benefits and made a decent wage after 3 years. I know I probably fcked up but it's run by a bunch of retards. I can make what I made there in a week somewhere else though I'll have to work more hours but it is what it is.

If you speak like a man you can save your job..I can feel it all the way from the confines of my home here in coral gables..let us know..good luck..at least you can watch all the world cup games now and bet points on each soccer game

I know I could get it back, but I'm too stubborn and immature to do it. I have enough saved up to do something else, I don't want to be miserable the rest of my life and die right when I retire.

not what he was doing. I did the same job when I was in college. I was an unloader for UPS. Had to be at work at 4am. Had 55 minutes to unload a 55ft trailer by hand with the barcodes facing up. UPS is so micromanaged. They had supervisors on top of supervisors. They had guys sorting packages that were in their 40's trying to get on as a package car driver. Those sorters would return to work at like 4pm to reload the trailers. I don't know how they do it now, but back then I had the option of working the afternoon shift also for more hours. The Teamsters would rape your paycheck with their fees. UPS is not all it's cracked up to be.

It's no different now, those are all reasons I can't do it anymore.
