no actually they haven't -- Only Curt Schilling said that. Most do say he the best pitcher on the Nationals roster, but saying your a better pitcher than Livan Hernandez and John Lannan isn't saying much

Well he is throwing 98-100 consistently with nasty movement.Don't know any starting pitchers that do that since maybe Randy Johnson.

LOL 14k in 7 innings, MLB debut.

and some people are trying to say he is not the 2nd best pitcher in the MLB.

                              the guy is a freak

Back away from the Strasberg exhaust pipe. He's not even the best ROOKIE pitcher in the league. The Dodgers Carlos Monasterios is 3-0. Let's talk again when Strasberg is 3-0.

P.S. They've cancelled his HOF induction scheduled for tomorrow.

Hell Mark Prior was the next Tom Seaver LOL

Lets see what he does over the period of a FULL SEASON
Brock made a good point but I will take it even further...lets see how he does in about 4 full seasons. You can have a couple great years and fizz out or have people figure you out.

What separates the good pitchers from the great? The ones that are able to adapt and change when hitters begin to figure them out because major league hitters always do.

Agree with most here, good start and seems to obviously have lots of potential. Just saw a few highlights and like how he responded to giving up the two runs. Hasn't really proved anything yet but at least has that first game down with a win-experience and war wounds to me are the most valuable things in sports and he doesn't have them yet. Cheers all-must have been fun to actually see!
