drive through nebraska, kansas, wyoming, and tell me we are overpopulated. maybe there are too many poor people hanging around without a job, but that doesn't mean the world is overpopulated. there's probably 1/10th the farmland there used to be in this country and people still have plenty to eat - lots of fat people around is proof of that.

i work hard too but if i am breaking the law every single day then maybe it is fair that people should be a bit upset about it.
please don't act all holier than thou and assume i have never talked to illegals. and I HAVE talked to immigrants at great length who did it the right way, i only have to go 2 generations up my own family tree.

just because someone works hard, that doesn't give them the right to use up more goods and services than they provide. i can bust my butt digging ditches all day but that shouldn't give me the right to whatever school i want, free healthcare, etc etc
why should i have to pay into social security and medicare and they shouldn't? why should i have to pay income taxes and they shouldn't?

Well what is your suggestion Mike? My only other suggestion, advise I took for myself, was to not have children. I could not stand the thought of my children fighting wars for the rich and powerful or being exploited by big business. I don`t much care for people anyway, so it made my choice easier.

pittsburgh that sounds like a good choice. regrettably i don't have a solution other than try to wake up as many people as possible. it's quite tough when the news media bombards people with propaganda on a daily basis that iraq is acquiring weapons of mass destruction and is the evilest country in the history of the world. oh wait, sorry currently that's iran that is acquiring weapons of mass destruction and is the evilest country in the history of the world (even though they have never invaded or attacked anyone).

i'm constantly shocked at how 90% of the population can be afraid of tiny countries thousands of miles of ocean away with no air force or navy. i mean seriously how are we going to be attacked or invaded by iran, afghanistan, pakistan, iraq, etc etc

I love immigrants, I love hearing different languages and being exposed to different backgrounds. We can only benefit from learning about how other people live and what they believe in. Plus, I am an immigrant myself and teach my students every single day that there is a world out there beyond the U.S. borders.
