You must love these 75-49 college football games. The ones you can count the tackles with one hand for the whole game. A high scoring game can be as bad as a low scoring game.

Soccer, in Europe and Asia and South America, it's called FOOTBALL. It's the game of arts with personal or individual tactics and techniques plus whole team effort to win the match. I like and love it and used to play while in school age. Now I am old enough, just watch the game on TV. The best of soccer is: I can play and place my bet everyday year round from Japan to Europe to South America.

the last chant is from Pao fans, and it's called Horto Magiko. If I'm not wrong, Flamengo fans have a "cover" of that, and in romania, Steaua Bucuresti fans sing it too (of this one im sure, I sing it out loud when i go on the stadium)

Actually, golf is the "ultimate mental game". No question, in my opinion.

i dont give a crap about what the people around the world love more than other sports, most countries around the world have small people below six feet tall so of course theyre gona play soccer, what do you expect them to play? football? basketball? they cant box or play tennis, so they play soccer. any small guy can play soccer. not everyone can be good at it, but soccer is run by small guys, and there are more small guys in the world than any other size guy. i just fukkin laid it down boys

So, basically, you are saying that tall people love basketball and small ones love soccer. Tell that to Tim Hardaway or Nate Robinson. You settle for a sport based on your height? Sure, it can be a factor, but I think you have your cause and effect a bit mixed up. A kid that starts playing basketball at an early age is going to develop differently than one that goes for soccer. This sport is also changing and constantly taller guys are required now for center-back or center-forward positions. Goalkeepres have always been pretty tall.
Also, according to your generalization, Yao Ming shouldn't be in the NBA, as he comes from a country with people considered as being not too tall. He should of taken up soccer and left the basketball to other countries with bigger guys.

Golf is not a tougher mental sport than Tennis. Tennis involves mind games between players. You think its just hitting the ball?

Guys like Federer and Nadal plan out shots they are going to take 5 shot ahead of the one they are currently taking. It's all about anticipation and precise planning aside from the athletics. Golf is just planning for your own shot, you're not thinking about "he's going down the right line, so I'm goign to go crosscourt to reestablish position then stay to his backhand side down the left". There is way more pressure in a tennis match especially if your trying to save a championship point like Federer has saved time and time and time again against Nadal.

That is called clutch my friend.

I agree with Goat Milk, think that in order to play tennis, you need to react at something that comes towards you with 200 km/h and you need to put that ball in the opponent's field. Great sport to watch and to play, tennis .

One reason soccer is popular around the world is because people in most other countries can't afford to play other sports. All you need to play soccer is a field, a ball, and a few pepsi cans.

It's by far harder to be a top 10 soccer player in the world than any other sport. More people play it, so the amount of people you have be better than is tremendous. Tennis & Basketball are probably #2 and #3.

Were you drinking when you wrote this?

The only countries that average 6ft are Holland and Denmark, the Dinaric Alp region, parts of Kenya, Sudan and a few other regions also have over 6ft averages. USA does not have a 6ft average so by your logic everybody should be playing soccer aswell.

Soccer isn't a game for just short or tall people, every height can play, if you knew the game you would know there are players that can make basketball players look short.

I am as tall as Steve Nash and I prefer playing left winger or left forward (im left footed) tan point guard. How tall you are isn't important as long as you have a fresh mind, quickness in executions and you can jump impressively.

Ivan cordoba from Inter Milano, is very short, so is Fabio Cannavaro, both are under 6 feet (well under 6 feet). but they play as central defenders, a position where you normally should be pretty much tall.

Also, I can name you some strikers, and tell me what you notice : Peter Crouch, Jan koller, Zigic. Now, have a look at this guys : Messi, Owen, Tevez, Podolski. First ones are over 2 m, the other 4 average 1.7 m

Football (soccer, whatever), is more complex than any other sport (team sport), that's why you cannot say that in order to play it you have to be like this, like this and like this.

I think it is a great game for gambling. Takes a lot of work to stay on top of things because unlike other sports players get frequently suspended and their are national call ups, etc that keep the line ups always changing. If you can stay on top of things money is to be made here.

it should be called BODYBALL not football because you can use your whole body except for your hands and arms! the rest of your body is okay and so many goals are headers! football is the incorrect name, just like american football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
