Every time I'm in Chicago I have dinner at Gibsons Steakhouse on Rush Street and it's fantastic each and every time. Give me another steak joint to try out.

Disagree. Gibson's is better. Morton's of course is good, and wildly expensive. Ruth's Chris is fine, but commercialized and not unique to Chicago.

You can't even put Morton's or Ruth Chris in the conversation. Both amazing steak houses in their own right - but they're chains.

For my money, I will go to G&G's every time. However, the best steak I have ever had - literally ever, was also in Chicago this past year at David Burke's Primehouse. That place is gods gift to steak.

That said, I am more likely going to G&G's and not even thinking twice.

What i wouldnt give for a portillos beef n cheddar croissant or gioradanos stuffed pizza. Hell even some white castles.

Came out here to go to school at UofA. Got a job in Phoenix and became stuck.

I miss Illinois once a week at least. Except, I don't miss the winter, don't miss the summer, miss maybe one or two weeks in September. So about right now, I miss Illinois a lot.

G&G's is unique to Chicago, so much history, good drinks, and good food....................not great. Guess it depends what you're after.

I love charred outside with perfectly cooked inside. Without a bunch of fancy ass seasoning. Salt, Pepper and Olive oil makes a good steak.

The atmosphere puts it over the top.

We have Pops II, decent dogs but good beef. New Portillos opening up next month

Mortons sucks. Way overpriced for decent upscale food. Last time I was there I asked for a medium rare steak and got a well done one. They don't give a sh*t about you there because you're just another customer...

Lived in Chicago for my whole life. Believe it or not, when I want a steak I head to a place know for seafood, but IMO has the best steaks in Chicago: Bob Chin's.
