Guys who are arguing Miller being a better player than Ray, have not watched him play with the Bucks or the Sonics at all.

          Teal,

I fukkin remember watching that game. One of the best single-handed performances I've ever seen down the stretch. Reggie Miller could always hit clutch shots- but could NEVER take over a game like that.

not sure how you could say allen is more clutch than miller, since miller lived by the double team, miller was the better shooter but i do think ray is slightly better overall

Thank you, granted his team wasn't very good maybe not but he was definitely an able scorer even without stars surrounding him. People seem to forget about his days before Boston. Success? He found it in Boston. Trade Ray Allen at the deadline and i bet C's can never make it this far. It's amazing how people still underestimate how much someone like Ray Allen opens up the offense for the team. There is a ridiculous amount of pressure for the opposing team to make sure a body is on him at all time. With all the off-ball screens, that means usually two people have to stay alert on Ray Allen alone, and that really opens up for Rondo and Pierce on the opposite side.

And I don't watch enough games in the 90s to compare, but Ray Allen is such a gentleman you just have to give him the edge if you have to choose one of the two.

this thread is stupid, ray allen is not 10X better than miller
miller was always the best player on the pacers
does any1 remember anything allen did when he was the best player for his team???
i dont remember anything other than him losing to the sixers in the ECF
ray allen isnt even the best player on the celtics, hes 3rd or even 4th now
ray allen is not the first option, ray allen may not even take the last shot at the end of games.
miller was the only option at the end of the game, he was their best player
he had a lot of memorable moments in the regular season and playoffs. miller would not have any less success playing with KG, pierce or rondo.
allen 10x better .... wheres the proof?

Ray Allen is the first option out of every timeout in a must-bucket situation at the end of games unless pierce is on fire. Even if Allen is cold, Doc will go to him. When KG and Pierce were both asked who would you want to take the last shot, both of them said Ray and Ray said "the open guy."

Reggie Miller has no wear near the offensive package of ray allen. No where near. Study their games my man. You will see that Miller struggled to get his own shot at times.
