Margin of victory and Analytics play a part instead of just beating a ranked team or a team with a good record. It would make it so the seeding would be better and the rankings would be more truly accurate of who the top 25 teams are based on Vegas Ratings and come tournament time the teams would be seeded better properly and less situations for example of a 11 seed upsetting a 6 seed when by Vegas Spread the 11 seed was actually favored. Not a big deal or anything but something they could easily change.

Scoring Margin is only considered up to 10 points which is really stupid because if you beat teams by more than 10 points you don’t get any more credit for it come selection time. So if a team beats a team by 25 and another team beats that same defeated by 12 points it’s supposed to be treated as the same quality of victory which it shouldn’t. Their rankings system is obviously not very good because the way they seed tournaments is different than how Vegas would rank the teams which should be based on power rankings where there isn’t mis-seeding that you see by the committee.Originally posted by SnowballComment
